Junior Data Scientist @ School

Junior Data Scientist @ School

Ask Questions. Find Patterns. Discover Insights.

Help your students become curious, confident thinkers in a world shaped by data.

The Junior Data Scientist programme by Penang Math Platform introduces students aged 14–15 to data science through hands-on exploration. Students discover how mathematics and digital skills help us understand information, investigate questions and solve everyday problems.

Bring Data Thinking into Your School

Give students opportunities to explore the technology they use and the information around them.

Guided learning encourages them to:

  • Think analytically by asking questions and recognising patterns.
  • Solve problems using information to support their reasoning.
  • Build digital confidence through practical learning beyond regular lessons.
  • Connect mathematics with technology through real-world applications.
  • Communicate their thinking by explaining what they discover.

Who Can Participate?

The programme welcomes secondary schools in Penang, involving students aged 14–15.

Sessions will be conducted in participating schools, with enrolment coordinated through teachers and school representatives.
