STEM Showcase 2023

THE Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti) is keen on strengthening its ties with Penang by materialising more initiatives for the development of science, technology and innovation (STI) in the state. Minister Chang Lih Kang said Penang is one of the states that play a significant role in the development of STI in the country.

Maths and Languages Mastery Competition (MEMC) 2024

THE Maths and Languages Mastery Competition 2024 (MEMC24), organised this year by Penang Math Platform and Bright Robin, was a resounding success, attracting 700 students from 87 schools across the state. Ranging from Year 1 to Year 6, they competed in a series of challenges designed to test their mathematical skills and linguistic abilities. A total of 108 students, or approximately 15% of the participants, qualified for the Grand Final after excelling in the online Qualifying Round on Aug 24.

GEMS 2024

MORE than 400 students from 76 schools enthusiastically took part in the Discovering ‘Great English & Math Stars’ (GEMS) 2024 competition and workshop at the Penang Math Platform (PMP) at Jalan Kaki Bukit, Gelugor, today.

Penang Open Scrabble Tournament 2024

In an effort to promote the proficiency of the English language, the grand finals of the Penang Open Scrabble Tournament 2024 saw the participation of almost 100 children, teenagers and also young adults. Present to officiate the competition recently was Penang Deputy Chief Minister 11, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo. “Our children are our future. I am happy to officiate the grand finals of the Penang Open Scrabble Tournament 2024 which has the participation of almost 100 children, teenagers and young adults.

APEX Bootcamp

PENANG is set to welcome 42 Penang, an educational institution that will open its doors, in George Town this month. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced its establishment while officiating the closing ceremony of the Apex Bootcamp at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) Penang branch in Tanjung Bungah today.
