Graphic Design+@School helps students aged 15–16 learn how to think visually, design strategically, and apply mathematical thinking to creative work. Students don’t just make things “look nice” – they learn why good design works.

By applying concepts such as geometry, symmetry, proportions, perspective, and color balance, students gain the ability to create designs that are structured, balanced, and impactful.

Since 2023, this outreach program by Penang Math Platform has:
– Reached 20+ schools across Pulau Pinang
– Helped students communicate ideas more clearly and confidently
– Integrated creativity with mathematics across 5 districts in Penang

By the end of the program, students can:
– Design visually appealing layouts with proper alignment, spacing, and balance
– Apply geometry, scaling, and proportions to real design tasks
– Understand how color theory and contrast influence attention and readability
– Communicate ideas more effectively through posters, slides, and digital visuals
– Build confidence in creative thinking, presentation, and digital literacy
