The International Spirit of Math Contest (SoMC) is different. It designed to assess how students think, not how quickly they calculate. This makes the contest especially meaningful for students who enjoy thinking challenges and non-routine problem solving.
An International Competition, Now in Malaysia
Originating from Canada, the Spirit of Math Contest has been conducted internationally for 27 years.
2026 marks the first year this competition enters Malaysia, giving local students the opportunity to participate in a globally established contest while benchmarking their thinking against international standards.
